98 and Great!

The weekend after our anniversary I drove for the first time from my house to my Grandma Gan Gans house!! My whole life I have grown up having to take two planes to go see my grandmothers in Albany, Georgia so the fact I can just drive there now makes this whole move worth it!!

Gan Gan, my Dad's Mom, turned 98 on April 19th - in case you did not catch that she is 98!! Not only is she 98 but she knows how to use her ipad better than I do, Facetimes (i.e. video chats) and asks how she can get on Facebook. She is someone I greatly look up to not only as my grandmother but one of my best friends.  I only hope I can live as long as her and if I am lucky have her mind and wit.

I met my cousin Lee Ann in Albany along with my cousin Susan who lives there to surprise the birthday girl. I left work at 4 p.m. and was at her house by 9 p.m. Brent stayed back to take care of Jack so it was just a fabulous girls weekend celebrating the lady we love the most!

Her birthday was complete with TONS of balloons and flowers, pedicures at her favorite nail salon, show shopping at the Shoe Station, lunch at the Corner Cafe and dinner at Cracker Barrel (of course!). I love you so much Gan Gan and your smile and laughs on your birthday will be something I never forget!

"For my 99th birthday next year we will stay calm, but for my 100th we will blow it all out!" - Gan Gan
