It is cheesy but so true that time flies when you are having fun. We never would have guessed a year ago that we would be celebrating our one year anniversary in the same state we got married in. Feeling very blessed to have found each other and the path our lives have taken together so far. When I told Brent I was looking forward to 99 more years he questioned "why only 99?"You are right sweetie there is no number on how many years we will spend together just looking forward to every moment (big and small as our minister Mac taught us).
The cake made it thanks to Brent driving it from Chicago in dry ice over 2 + days but definitely was not as pretty as it was at the wedding but still DELICIOUS!
We celebrated with the neighborhood house walk yesterday (more to come in a different post), and a lazy Sunday finished off with dinner at Saluda's. Ironically, I got the halibut and grits which is part of what we served at the wedding. Everything was delicious....even our one year old wedding cake!
